Pricing
Effective 8 July 2026
The short version
Surge is free for attendees — you pay exactly the vendor's listed price, nothing on top. Vendors and organizers pay nothing during the pilot phase. Any future fees will be published here and announced in advance.
1. Attendees: free, always the listed price
- No signup fee, no subscription, no per-payment charge, no markup on prices.
- The vendor sets the price; the server enforces it — a payment for more than the listed price is rejected.
- The one exception you'll ever see: a one-time ₹1 verification charge when you approve your UPI Autopay mandate, required by the UPI ecosystem to activate it.
- No wallet, no top-up, no minimum balance — money moves only when you buy something.
2. Vendors & organizers: free during pilot
While Surge is pre-launch, vendors and organizers pay no platform fees: no onboarding fee, no dashboard fee, and Surge takes no cut of sales. Payment-processing costs charged by our payment partner during pilots are absorbed by us.
Post-pilot pricing is not finalised. When it is, it will be published on this page and communicated in writing to every onboarded vendor and organizer before it applies — never retroactively.
3. What you're paying for at an event
Every rupee you pay through Surge is the price of the goods or services the vendor is selling. Taxes on those sales, where applicable, are the vendor's responsibility and are included in their listed prices. Refunds and cancellations are covered in the Cancellation & Refunds policy.
